Needless to say, a painter owes it to him or herself to demonstrate their true personality without however omitting the technical and expressive sources that support the ensemble of their work through the years and exhibitions. Since I have had the privilege and honour of seeing some of Nicole MARC's exhibitions, her painting has never failed to enchant me. With incontestable elegance and appreciable durability in the manner and analysis, her full skies and atmospheres beautifully balance the silky and nuanced vibrations of the colours. Graded shadows clothe her motifs that sparkle with light and colour. Meanwhile, with the generous ardour of her brushstroke and unequalled conviction, the artist deploys the entirety of her talent in the exploration of immensely fascinating sites and floral effects. Nicole Marc has always privileged a real suppleness in harmonies and masses and with a gracefulness that differentiates her works so harmoniously. Beings and nature emanate a gentle appeal while being governed by a creative and bold temperament. In her recent paintings however, Nicole Marc unleashes a more contemporary reality, whose unrestrained impetus acknowledges the formless qualities of nature without giving way to frenetic movement. For this artist who is attentive to life and daring in her designs, painting means superbly conveying flowerings and seasons in all places through cascades of colour. Her brilliant compositions energize and transform the motifs, which range from the most welcoming and poetic through to the most biting and mysterious, according to what her perfect sensibility detects.
